The Benin most monarch, Oba Ewuare II, has suspended hearing and judgments on communal matters in his palace.

Also, complaints and petitions from villages, Communities, groups and individuals to the palace, have equally been put on hold all due to the ravaging coronavirus pandemic.
The notice which was conveyed in a press statement signed by the acting chief press secretary to the Oba, Mr Victor Ogiemwanre, was in adherence to social distancing advice of Nigeria’s government.
The move is considered by Nigerians as a strategic step by the traditional ruler in beating the ravaging infection with tighter restrictions.
