The leader of Itsekiri ethnic group living in Ologbo Community of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State, has appealed to warring youths in the locality to sheath their sword in the interest of peace.

He gave the advice on Sunday while reacting to concerns about the recent disturbances in the area, leading to the death of four person and displacement of women and Children.
Atseleghe, the Iyatsere of Warri, alleged that the crisis rocking the Community was triggered by youths in the Community who were allegedly involved in unauthorized land sale.
Recall that Edo State government proscribed Community Development Association (CDA) in 2017, amidst commendation.
The oil Community has been enmeshed in Communal crisis between Binin and Itsekiri youths over the largesse from foundation laying Ceremony levy known as ‘Emolu’ in local parlance.
He pledged his allegiance to the Benin Monarch, Oba Ewuare II, for his fatherly role to the people of Ologbo Community and assured of his readiness and support to work with the palace of the Enogie (Duke) of Ologbo towards ensuring rapid development of the Community.
According to him, “It was one Osazuwa that went to collect development money. He went to where they were building a house and demanded for money. That was how the fight started”, he said.
