Police vow to arrest, prosecute killers of two Cops in Kano


Police authorities have vowed to apprehend and prosecute the hoodlums who shot and killed two of its personnel in Bagwai town of the State.

Responding to Monday night attack, Spokesman for the Kano State Command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, said three persons were shot by the gunmen including two policemen who died in the operation.

The victims were confirmed dead during the attack while the third victim had been taken to Bichi General Hospital for treatment.

“The gunmen shot sporadically with bullets hitting three persons. Two of them later died at Bichi General Hospital.

“The remaining one is still receiving medical attention at the hospital,” he said.

He said the State Commissioner of Police, Mr Habu Ahmad-Sani, had ordered deployment of personnel from the “Operation Puff-adder” team, to investigate and arrest the perpetrators of the dastardly act.

TheNewspad reports that security had been beefed up in the area to prevent future recurrence.
