An abusive boyfriend simply identified as Solomon has reportedly stabbed his live-in lover, Patience Zakkari, to death over a minor disagreement between duo were both students of Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi State.

One of the friends of the love birds who simply called herself Vasty recalled that on last Week Friday, the late Patience came across another male student who accosted her and started chatting with her against her wish on her way back to their quarter through the small gate leading to their residence outside the Campus.

She alleged that the Solomon appeared from no where and began to hurl insult on Patience for chatting with an unidentified male student at the lounge leading to their residence.

Vasty further narrated that the deceased became upset and walked away from the scene into their apartment where they had lived together in harmony.

It was gathered that her boyfriend returned him and engaged Patience in another argument, prompting Solomon to stab her lover at the back with broken bottle and left her in the pool of her won blood.

It was further gathered that bewildered neighbours who made frantic efforts to separate the fight, rushed her to the hospital for treatment and on Saturday she was confirmed dead having lost too much blood.

Spokesman for the Nigeria police, Bauchi State Command, DSP Kamal Datti Abubakar who confirmed the incident, said police was arrested by policemen attached to Yelwa Division and thereafter transferred to the homicide Department in the Command the suspect for further investigation and prosecution in court.

A Staff of the Federal Polytechnic who preferred to be anonymous, expressed sadness over the disorderly conduct, which he claimed did not happen at the Campus.
