A haulage driver was on Monday shot dead by a yet-to be identified policeman at a checkpoint in Ondo State.
It was gathered that the incident happened at Uso in Owo Local Government Area of the State.
The policeman who was attached to Uso, according to sources, killed the driver over an argument over N50 bribe.
The incident subsequently led to traffic gridlock as many travellers were stranded.
Confirming the incident, the Spokesman of the Nigeria police, Ondo State Command, Ondo State in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Femi Joseph said, investigation into the incident had commenced.
