Nigeria’s separatist leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has announced the death of his mother, Ugoeze Okwu Kanu.
Nko Satellite Television Nnamdi Kanu break the passing of his mother at 1:02am. on October 20th 2019.
Mrs Kanu died on August 30th, 2019, according to Kimberly Ogba, a Biafran activist publication on her Facebook page.
In her tribute to the departed mother, said: ‘You will be remembered as the mother of Biafrans.
“We will miss you. Your family sacrificed a lot to see that Biafra is restored including your safety and that of your husband, the Igwe of Afaraukwu kingdom. According to her son, she never recovered from witnessing the killings of IPOB members at her compound on the 14th of Sept, 2017.
‘Onyendu, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, you and the rest of the family are in my thoughts during this period. May Chukwu Okike Abiama grant her eternal rest.
