Peace Corpse of Nigeria, has tasked Nigerians to shun vices and embrace the values of tolerance.

The National Commandant of the Corpse, Amb. Dickson Akoh made this known during his 59th Independence Day speech delivered in Edo State where he advocated for the prompt passage of the Bill for an Act to establish the Nigeria Peace Corpse by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Represented by Edo State Coordinator of paramilitary organization, Patriot Eigbadon Franklyn, the Commandant, urged Nigerians to keep faith in the strength of unity despite the multi-dimensional challenges confronting the nation.

He also recalled the outstanding sacrifices and contributions of heroes and heroins of Nigeria’s Independence in advancing the course of freedom and wellbeing.

According to him, “Peace is key to achieving sustainable development in any Country”, adding that “when peace ceases to exist in our Country, the result is continuous rise in chaos, anarchy and global disharmony.

“As an organization, the peace Corpse is bound by oath of allegiance to preach peace and act peace”, he said.

While describing the fight for world peace as a veritable tool for the Corpse to achieve her goals, Amb. Akoh, said the Peace Corpse is determine in sustaining peace campaigns in Schools and other platforms.
