Edo ex-Speaker curses purveyors of her kidnap rumour

A former Speaker Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Mrs Elizabeth Ativie on Tuesday denied rumours of her alleged abduction by gunmen in Benin City.

She placed a curse on purveyors of the rumour, adding that she has received hundreds of telephone calls from Nigerians and relatives in connection with the rumour, which set erupted social Media on Wednesday.

Mrs Ativie who represented Uhumwuode Constituency in the Edo state House of Assembly from 2011 to 2019, Ativie said this in a telephone interview with our Correspondent in Benin City.

“God forbid. I have being here in US now. I am not coming back to Benin now.

“Even when I come return to Nigeria, I will stay with my Children in Lagos”, she said, ” I have placed a curse on those malicious individuals carrying the rumours of my kidnap”.
