Kidnappers of a Local Government official in Borno State, Bukar Hassan who was allegedly kidnapped with his wife and a child recently, have demanded for N10 million ransom.

His wife who was abducted with him on Buni Gari-Biu road in the State, was set free on Wednesday by the hoodlums who held back Bukar and son.

The abductors were said to have swooped on their vehicle around Kamuya village about 76 km to Damaturu, Yobe State and abducted the family of three who were returning from Maiduguri after a visit on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the source, ‘The kidnapper has slashed the amount to N7 million and later N5 million.

Confirming the incident, the Caretaker chairman of Hawul Local  Government, Mr Daniel Malang, said the kidnappers demanded a ransom before they could release the cashier and his son.
