Members of the National Association of Seadogs in Edo North senatorial district gathered recently in Auchi to celebrate their annual feast of Barracuda.

The Celebration is an annual event to mark the major milestones attained by the Association in the year.

Addressing the congregation at this year’s convention, Mr Abdul Kareem Obomegie, the Edo North Chapter President of the association in Edo State, said there are sufficient reasons to mark the event.

He emphasized that despite the turbulent economic challenges in the Country, the organization its outreach programmes in the past.

Obomegie listed the projects to include the Street children initiative aimed at championing the rights of Children to decent education.

He said the Association has also championed advocacy programmes, sensitisation/awareness campaign dubbed “your votes must count”, in audition to medical outreaches to address some prevalent health challenges in selected communities and several others.

Obomegie charged members and other passionate individuals and groups to support the Association’s lofty goal of giving back to the society.

The highpoint of the ceremony was a public lecture on “Climate change, Herdsmen and the Rest of us”, delivered by Barrister A lmuzai.
