Concerned by water scarcity among rural dwellers, the Charity arm of the Latter Day Saint, a philanthropic organization, has donated 5000 litres borehole water facility to Obazuwa Community in Ovia North East Local Government Area, Edo State.

The humanitarian effort, is aimed at advancing the rights of the people towards safe drinking water to the people and ward-off water borne diseases.

At the Commissioning of the project, Spokesperson for the group, Mr. Max Reynolds, recalled the importance if water and assured that the intervention further enhance the relationship between the authorities and the people.

“As part of our humanitarian services, we are more than committed to creating relationship between government and the Communities”.

He said, “The Community must ensure the project does not fail. We are optimistic that you will uphold its values”.

He appealed to the people to imbibe maintenance culture while appreciating their efforts in providing the right conditions for the installation of the borehole project.

Chairman of the Local Government Area, was represented by the Councillor at Uhiere Ward, Mr. Eke Eugene Amenaghawon.

He lauded the collaboration that exist between government and the organization towards improving the living standard or the people.

access to Clean Water consumption is a tripartite relationship that exist between the State government through the Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) implemented at local levels and promoted by the LDS Charities across the  State.
