The South South/South East ‘Peace is Possible’ Director of Junior Chamber International, JCI Nigeria, Amb. Efe Bevy Kpohraror, has called on concern authorities to tackle the security challenges in the Country.

He urged the federal government to conduct an inquiry into the alleged killings by suspected bandits in Zamfara State and other parts of the nation.

He also decried the high level of intolerance among some Nigerians and the devastation caused by the proliferation of light arms in the federation.

Kpohraror who is also the Chief Executive Officer, CEO of V-Great Ltd, said “no value would be served in the conflict if those who lost their loved ones to conflicts are encouraged to seek revenge in any circumstance”.

The JCI Director, flayed the intransigence and bracing interested of greedy elites which has undermining peace and development in Zamfara.

Kpohraror, tasked the traditional and religious institutions to contribute towards a just and sustainable peace in the various domains.

He however raised concern over involvement and youths in crimes and sued for special medicare for Children, women and the sick as well as the injured in conflict prune areas.

According to him, “It is possible to calm the frayed nerves without reprisal attacks or declaring war against one another natural resources like mining in Zamfara.

“What peace will not do for you, you can hardly achieve it through war. There should be no dereliction of duty by the government.

“You can achieve long lasting peace through non-violence means if parties involved in crises sheath their sword.

“It is sad that some persons have been widowed due to these conflicts while many Children have been orphaned as a result of these attacks by bandits.

“Peace is possible. There is no alternative to peace. We are old enough to know the benefits of peace”, he said.
