Tribunal grants order for inspection of election materials in Delta

ASABA—DELTA State Governorship, National and state House of Assembly Elections Petitions Tribunal has granted an order for the inspection of materials for the March 9 and 23 National Assembly, governorship and House of Assembly elections in the state.

Secretary of the Tribunal, Mr. Ahmed Gusau, who disclosed this to newsmen in Asaba, said the court would continue preliminary sitting today.
According to Gusau, the Tribunal had granted applications for substituted service on respondents in the petitions filed by Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, Doris Uboh, Sebastian Okoh, Monday Igbuya, Sam Mariere, and John Agoda.

He said one petition was filed against Governor Ifeanyi Okowa by Great Ogboru of the All Progressives Congress, APC, while another one was against Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.
Also, another petition was filed against Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, while two were against Senator James Manager.
Gusau said nine petitions were also before the Tribunal with respect to the House of Representatives election, adding that 37 were filed for the House of Assembly election.
