The Adamawa chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has withdrew its threat to boycott Thursday’s governorship supplementary election in the state.
The party had earlier through the state Organising Secretary, Alhaji Ahmed Lawan threatened to boycott the election, over what it called short notice as well as fixing the election on a working day that might disenfranchised workers and students.

But the state’s Publicity Secretary of the party, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar, told Newsmen on Wednesday in Yola that the party has formally lodged a complaint over the timing of the election and has resolved to participate.
“We have lodge our complain and whatever the outcome we will participate,” Abubakar said.
He re-iterated the commitment of the party to peaceful election and urged party supporters to turn out massively and vote for its candidate.
The supplementary election will hold in 44 polling units in 14 Local Governments Areas (LGAs) across the state.

The state governorship election was declared inconclusive and the supplementary poll could not hold on March 23, due to a court order that was vacated on Tuesday.
