President of the Association of Industrial Security and Safety Operators of Nigeria, AISSON Dr. Ona Ekhomu has condemned the recent killing of four police officers, by unknown gunmen who invaded a police station in Afuze, Owan East Local Government Area of Edo state, describing the act as an unrivalled act of barbarism and savagery which must not go unpunished.

Recall that the rampaging armed men also attacked the station with explosive devices which razed vehicles in the premises and thereafter, continued their havoc atthe Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC close by.
In a bid to lend his voice to the call to apprehend the perpetrators, Ekhomu, has launched a campaign with #find the real killers of Afuze Police.
‘We’ll Soon Pay Off Sylva’s Administration’s N50bn Debt’
Speaking in Lagos, he said, “the Afuze Police massacre was a frontal and brutal extermination of policemen and women which was done with extreme prejudice and in cold-blood. It was the personification of evil. Therefore it deserves vigorous intelligence and detective efforts such that the real killers will be found.
Noting that spokesman for the Edo State government had announced the arrest of the “killers” barely two days after the murder, he however, described the arrest an intuitive act.
He said, “ an investigative authority should first investigate a crime before it apprehends suspects. In the absence of CCTV Video footage, or the killers confessing to their participation to a reverend father, there is no way Edo State government — which has no investigative agency could detect the perpetrators”
Continuing, Ekhomu said, “ the Edo State authorities should provide direct and associative evidence that could place the suspects at the Afuze crime scene. Mysticism cannot be a substitute for good investigative work”, he said, adding that the geography of the crime suggested that the perpetrators could have travelled south, from Kogi State.
