“The unknown gun men have named a very high amount in foreign currency which the family and the entire palace of the Enogie will not be able to afford”, he said.

Already, the family who expressed worries over the health of the Septuagenarian, also appealed to the kidnappers to release the grandfather unhurt.

The traditional ruler was on Saturday March 16, 2019 kidnapped by gunmen at his palace at Ukhiri village and whisked him away through Benin- Abraka road in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State, amid tears and wailing by family members.

The suspected hoodlums numbering five had headed straight to the living room of the victim and thereafter took him to unknown destination.

The suspected hoodlums were said to have set the vehicle they came with on fire at the palace and left with the victim’s personal Nissan car.
