The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has described the industrialization drive of Edo State government as a necessary price to pay for employment generation.
The Union made the observation in a joint statement by the State Chairman of NUJ, Comrade Roland Osakue and the Comrade Titus Akhigbe.
The union appreciated the efforts of the State governor, Godwin Obaseki towards the provision of basic amenities including road construction across the State.
The statement also urged the governor to sustain the trust and confidence of the people and pledged a good working relationship with his government.
It congratulated the governor over the resounding victory of your party, All Progressives Congress (APC), at the just concluded House of Assembly Elections in the State.
The statement, assured that the victory “would enhance the ongoing rapid development in the State by your administration”.
“There is no doubt that your proactiveness in leading the party (APC) to victory on Saturday March 9, 2019 was highly applauded…”
“It is obvious that the emphatic win, the first ever in the State’s
political history…”.
